Replit Agent

Replit Agent lives inside Replit's cloud IDE and does something few other agents can: it goes from idea to deployed app in one environment. You describe what you want — a web app, a tool, a presentation — and the agent generates the code, sets up the project structure, configures hosting and databases, and deploys it. Replit handles the AI model keys (Claude, ChatGPT, Gemini) so you never manage API credentials. It supports four effort modes — Lite, Economy, Power, and Turbo — that let you trade cost for speed and quality. The Design Canvas feature generates UI mockups before writing code, and Multi-Artifacts support lets you build multiple components in parallel. Background tasks run agent work asynchronously so you can keep coding while the agent builds. For heavy users, budget controls and parallel agent limits prevent runaway costs. The trade-off is that everything lives in Replit's cloud — there is no local option.
